Queen of Mothers
Mary Queen of Mothers, who bore the Word Incarnate, bless our endeavors to expand the Kingdom of thy Divine Son through the humble pages of our magazine!
Ave Maria, gratia plena, ora pro nobis!
Mary, Dearest Mother
Mary, dearest Mother,
From they heavenly height,
Look on us thy children
Lost in earth's dark night.
Mary purest creature,
Keep us free from sin,
Help us erring mortals,
Grace in Heaven to win.
Mary, Queen and Mother,
Get us still more grace;
With still greater fervor,
Now to run our race.
Daughter of the Father,
Lady kind and sweet;
Lead us to our Father,
Leave us at His feet.
~ Fr. Faber
Ave Maria, gratia plena, ora pro nobis!

Sneak Preview #2
A Fight for the Unborn
Have
you ever donated to Susan G. Komen For
the Cure? Maybe you’ve participated in a Pink Ribbon Race for the Cure. Its seems like a good idea for such a noble
cause, right? Well….maybe you might want to think twice.
Until recently, the Susan G. Komen Breast cancer
association donated to Planned Parenthood every month. The decision to
discontinue funding, according to a Washington Post article on February 1,
2012, was that Planned
Parenthood was under investigation by Congress, and Komen for the Cure had "adopted new guidelines that bar it from funding organizations under congressional investigation." Within days of
announcing their discontinued funding to Planned Parenthood, the pro-life
population showed its support of the decision by increased donations. Now that Komen was no longer supporting the
pro-choice crowd, donors appeared more willing to pledge their monetary support
to the organization. On February 2,
Newsbusters.org reported that donations to Komen were up 100%. The World
Wide Web was alive with comment on the increase. One blog posted a survey, asking readers if
Komen’s decision would affect their contributions...To read more, watch for the premier issue of Voice of Valor ... coming June, 2012!

Sneak Preview!
Chivalry ~ Dead or Alive?
My brother Kevin, a junior in college, was driving with his friends, Jimmy and Marcellino. When they saw an elderly lady picking weeds out of the sidewalk in front of her house, Kevin and Jimmy said, “We should go help her.” Marcellino laughed, thinking they were joking. He was shocked to find that they were absolutely serious. “I don’t do that!” Marcellino stated flatly. He literally waited in the car while Kevin and Jimmy helped the little old lady. Ever since, Marcellino has joked about the incident at school and teased them. He doesn’t seem to understand… Kevin and Jimmy are proud of it!!!
Such chivalry as displayed here is not entirely gone, but why is it so hidden and rare that some people do not even know what it is?
