HERE IT IS ... the June 2016, and sadly, FINAL issue of The Voice of Valor. We thank all our readers for their support these past 4 years. The plan is to leave the digital versions on line for the time being. If people are interested in print copies of any issue, we will fill those orders as long as we are able. Baker's Dozen!

Yes, the June 2015 issue marks our 13th publication of The Voice of Valor magazine!  Thanks to all who have made the journey with us.  The full issue will be online within the week, but for now, here's a look at the cover!

And when the new issue comes out, we'll let you know the results about our future publishing!  Thanks to all who shared input and opinions as we sought to make the best decision!

We Need Some Input...

We sent the following questionnaire with our March issue.  However, we're posting it here as well, in order to reach out to as many of our readers as possible...

Dear readers,

We hope you have been enjoying the issues of The Voice of Valor we have published for the past three years!  We are proud to say that we have writers and readers from all around the country, and it truly is a labor of love by all involved. 

That being said, it is not easy for our small local staff to plan, organize, compile, and layout each issue of the magazine.  Consequently, we are facing a decision that is difficult to make.

The way we see it, there are three paths our magazine could take. We can just “bite the bullet” and somehow keep getting out the quarterly issues.  Or, we can reduce publication to two issues per year (likely June and December).  Or, we can be pleased with three successful years of publishing, and bring the magazine to a close with the June 2015 issue.

Because we want to be careful in choosing God’s will and not our own, we are asking our readers’ input in this decision.  Please respond with the answer that best describes your preference, and you will help to lead us down the right path!

Better Late Than Never ... Right?

Did you notice that we forgot to change the blog page to match the new issue colors? We didn't! Not until today, that is. SO ... now its done! Better late than never... Its a dark look this time. Dark to reflect the attraction that evil plays in our world, trying to draw souls away from the LIGHT that is Christ. Dark, to represent sorrow for sin. But the darkness will not last! That's when you'll see the new issue online.  We hope you like it.  It's the start of our 3rd year for The Voice of Valor.  Thanks to those who have stuck with us since the start ... readers, writers, and supporters!

A DIfficult Decision

As we were putting together the current issue, we just couldn't come up with a cover image.  We were down to the wire ... it was literally time to print the proof reader's copy and we had no ideas!  Just before printing, we put together a cover, and sent the magazine off.  While our good proof readers were looking over the magazine, we took time for a photo shoot and came up with another cover.  That's when the problems started ...

The proof readers LIKED the "last minute" cover design!  And the photo shoot crew PREFERRED the new image.  What to do?  We took it to a vote...

Over the weekend we asked everyone we saw, and on Monday asked students at school.  At the end of the day, the result was .... a tie!  Exactly 21 votes per image!  So ... we waited until Tuesday and asked 3 people we hadn't seen the day before.  

Surprisingly, all 3 voted for the original cover image!  And that was this one...

But since we had so much fun putting together the photo shoot, we thought we'd share what the 2nd one ... just so you see it.

5000 and counting!

Our blog and magazine have had 5010 hits as of today!  That's a milestone!  When we published the first issue less than 2 years ago, we certainly weren't expecting so much interest. Thanks to all our readers online, and to those who subscribe to our print magazine. 

 The war of good vs evil needs the valorous effort of every warrior possible... we welcome your support and your contributions to our magazine.  Please promote our magazine to your friends and family, and pray that we can keep up this effort to promote the Faith to teens, by teens!
