Did you know G. K.Chesterton pointed out that the state usurps the authority of the family by compulsory state-sponsored education. "The state has more authority over man by sending him to a public school than it had when it burned men at the stake." 

Also, he showed how it is a step down for women when they claim equality with men. "Their God-given role of motherhood is irreplaceable. Men are specialists, but women have a general and uniting role as mothers. Inside the home is where the real drama of life is played out. If you take the women out of the home, you destroy the family."
